Membership in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors
(SIOR designation) indicates one
of the most respected designations a real estate salesperson and/or broker can hold.
Members are invited to join on the basis of several criteria: years in the business, the
dollar amount of his or her transactions, certification for educational courses completed
and/or the passing of a written examination, and a personal interview with the
recommendation of one's peers. Members are obligated to abide by the Code of Ethics and
Standards for Practice of the National Association for Realtors, which frames the
environment of the real estate professional. The organization's members meet both
regionally and nationally to network and update their educational requirements.
The
Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers of the New York Metropolitan Area,

The members actively network with brokers, owners, developers and individuals in allied
fields and exchange information and market leads.
